Amy Cabaniss, the proprietor, opened Julep’s New Southern Cuisine in July, 2003.

Julep’s has been voted the Best Downtown Restaurant by Richmond Magazine. The professional and friendly staff, elegant atmosphere and charm of this historic building create a hospitable setting as you savor a fresh mix of flavor that captures the flare of Atlanta, Charleston, New Orleans and Savannah.

Looking to dazzle clients or friends? Julep’s is available for large dinner parties, luncheons and receptions. The back dining room can accommodate up to 50 for a sit down dinner or luncheon, or the entire restaurant is available for receptions of up to 125 guests.

Amy Cabaniss, owner and proprietor of Julep’s New Southern Cuisine is proud to welcome Chef Rashad Edwards as our Chef De Cuisine.

Chef Rashad was educated at the International College School of Culinary Arts in Baltimore, Maryland in 2001. Since then he has been the Executive Chef in a variety of fine dining restaurants in Washington DC, Baltimore, New York and most recently as Executive Sous Chef at Cochon on 2nd in Williamsburg, Virginia.
